We were so sad and shocked to hear of Wendy's passing. She was a cousin much loved by the Barnes family. She will truly be missed. Our prayers are with her mother Francis, Garry and their kids, and precious granddaughter. Prayers for Connie and her family. May everyone be Blessed today as God watches over you.

Our prayers are with the Barnes and Pritchett families. I was so shocked to hear of Wendy's passing. I remember a lot of wonderful, funny conversations I had with Wendy! We had a lot of laughs and I will never forget them. I was also there for her and Garry's wedding and when Megan was born. I am so happy I could share these times with them. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May the peace of The Lord comfort all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss of a sweet and funny lady. I live far away,we did keep in touch by phone. I loved talking with her she was just a very caring person. I didn't get to visit with her very much over the yrs. I live so far away but when I came there I would try and see her. I will be sad when I come and she isn't there.Love her cousin Louise Ames

Wendy was my sweet cousin who always made me feel so loved and so special. My favorite childhood memories are with her at our Grandma Lorena's home in Hillsborough. We would stand by the cow pasture and pretend we were in Hawaii looking out over the ocean. When grandma was in the garden, we would run a pretend restaurant in her kitchen. We dressed in grandma's silk nightgowns and had beauty pageants, with Connie always being the winner. Pretending to be nurses from General Hospital to just giggling about everything, except when Grandma was getting a switch off the bush, was just so much fun. Wendy even let me cut her hair once and said she loved it. After meeting Gary, we were all so shocked that they were getting married so quickly, but what a beautiful family they built. Wendy and Gary had a special love and I'm so happy she found someone so wonderful to her. And Megan, she was so happy to be a grandma. I give thanks that she was able to meet her granddaughter. Our Freeman family will be praying for each one of you and send all our love.

Wendy was my dear friend. We had many good times.We worked together for years. The most special memory I have was when she came to know the Lord. I was at the alter with her and was there when she was baptized. I know we will rejoice together in heaven. Rest in peace my friend.

"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou. I cannot recall every moment I've shared with Wendy, but what I know for sure is how she made me feel and that was special and loved. Wendy was a second mother to me, and she, too, often told me that I was a son to her. The loss of Wendy has broken my heart, but I also have shared a joyful smile reflecting on the happiest times we've shared together. Our families have been connected for so many years as her daughter, Megan, and I have been friends since being toddlers. My fondest memories of Wendy are the ones where we would join them on vacation at the beach over the summers, her story telling, and our late evening chats that would go late into the night. Wendy created a safe-place for me as a teenager. The love I share for my own wonderful mother is identical to the love I share for Wendy; they are the same. Most importantly, while my own family taught me about faith and God, Wendy played a crucial part in building on my faith. She taught me how to live as a Christian, what it meant to be one, and that His love is a loving, warm, accepting, and kindest love of all. Wendy is one of three matriarchs in my life that I consider makers in the man I am today. I love Wendy and I know in my heart and feel in my heart that she, too, loved me. I will miss her dearly. My deepest sympathy goes to her family. I love you, Pritchett Family, and I am so deeply sorry for the loss of her.
