Don and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Hursey was one of the most respected men I have had the privilege of knowing. He was a positive influence on me as a teenager and still is today. May God bless you all.

I was just thinking about Mr. and Mrs. Hursey, just last week. I was wondering how they were doing, and I was thanking God that He allowed their shadows to touch my life. I remember them well from growing up with Don, Sherry and Van at school and my parents always spoke so highly of both Otha and Shirley. I remember getting to know them even better when our church shared the building with their church while Durham Memorial was being relocated and rebuilt. Our lives are blessed by God sharing this family with us all these sweet years. My prayers will be for God to shed His love, His peace and His comfort on this family as they mourn the passing of this sweet soul.

I know God is comforting all of the Hursey family because without a doubt they know "Pa" is at home with the Lord. I loved Mr. Hursey's humor and wit, he could be so funny. With each one of God's children called home the world grows a little darker and the hope of being at home with our Lord and Savior grows within us. Praying for all of you. Much love
