I wasn't apart of the family, however i was friends with miranda. Mr. Appel, was truely and sincerly like a grandpa to me, i wasn't related to him, but he always welcomed me with a warming smile and a tight hug everytime i came through the door. The man had a heart that was as pure as gold, and a smile that could brighten anyone's world. He inspired me to do many things that have altered my life, and i will continue to do these things because of him so. I send my condolences to the Appel family, that i know this must be a tragic loss, however we must always remember that hes in a better place now and he is happy. we love you so much
